I’m trying a new thing today because:
Fun
How many of us in the FFOREST have actually done something with the last four posts? Let’s slow things down a little.
Monday
Just because a method
life hack
exercise
job
philosophy
is someone else’s One True Thing,
that doesn’t mean it will work for you.
Jill Reeves replied: ‘I needed to read this today. It’s a roller coaster when you make change especially spiritually. I keep feeling like I owe people an explanation so I liked what you said about not having to explain the proponent.’
Tuesday
You will face times of needing to figure out what to do next. Two things I do:
Talk to a good listener or write until the next step becomes clear. Language is thinking.
When the next thing is too big, chop it. Keep chopping until it becomes doable today.
Wednesday
Climate. Genocide. War. Government. AI. Spring/Autumn. The world is in a season of upheaval. You are also experiencing your own personal seasons (and microseasons). All of these have an influence on what is the effective thing to be doing now.
Are you flowing with your seasons or fighting against them? Don’t fight reality.
Thursday
The following is, according to E.L. Zeitgeist, ‘such a perfect metaphor’:
In North Wales, there are still blackberries getting ripe through September. But they’re barely sweet and not a bit tangy. Not worth the hassle. September blackberries look like August blackberries, but the sweetness and joy are gone. It’s time to start picking apples.
When you look for the joy and discover the joy has moved on, you don’t do anyone any favours by sticking around out making okay crumble with September blackberries.
This is about wordplay. The answer I’m looking for is an artist and the name of one of their albums. The clue is:
I have a couple arctic bird feeding stations and a tiny mobile.
Answers in the comments, please. Feel free to show your working.
‘Lead with light.’ Also flute, 70s BGVs, lots of percussion – all the good stuff.
Happy weekend
Jeff
Well there’s an artist called Penguin Cafe with an EP called Perpetuum Mobile… but those aren’t necessarily tiny. I’d be more satisfied if they had an album called Baby Phone so maybe I’m way off! (I started with The Puffins btw!)
My OK Crumble is sufficient but not always delicious. I’m a devoted yoga teacher who recently subbed teaching for a Pilates class. I am loyal to yoga but the different way of moving and the specific emphasis on deeper core work really spoke to me both physically and spiritually. I woke up today ready to incorporate this sweet fruit into my recipe.
