2. By striking out that entire statement, I had to struggle a bit to read it and now I remember it better. So that's ironic!

3. This has happened to me so many times throughout my career, especially in the early days. Usually, as a designer, you end up learning how to put your ego down and let clients pick what's best for them. Which is why you NEVER EVER EVER show them the logo you hate. They will always pick the logo you hate AND ask you to tweak it.

OMG yes – never give clients choices you don't want them to choose. The only exception to that is when you have a bad client. Sometimes giving them a bad option which you know they will like is the only way to get the job finished, get paid and then never ever work for them again.
