Thanks for this post. I too have stayed too long in a job once and it did me some real harm that has taken some time to move on from. Trying to balance the need to pay bills with the need to feel fulfilled and stimulated is a tough one. We get used to the status quo in the same way we got used to Status Quo. We loved the way they used the same chords over and over and how they did the crossing legs in front of each other thing - but we never noticed that we were bored of their music until we left them and found new stuff. (This went in an odd direction!!) If your job isn't helping you be the best you can be then either find a new job or find a thing that you can do alongside your job that plugs the gap....But most of all, as the Venerable Arborist Jeff says - Make a plan!!!
