I avoid crashing by living in the moment. Watchman Nee advocated to avoid extreme or excessive emotion through self control. As a woman, crying was my first emotion I used to apply his teachings. He said cry but don’t cry more than you need to. Well, that’s hard to figure out depending upon why you’re crying. Did someone you love die? Or did you spouse mistreat you? I have to say, it’s helped me 40 years to observe my reasons for crying. I cry less because I’m not jammed up with unrecognized emotion. When I do cry, it’s a release I welcome. It’s a cleansing and a reboot. How do you handle your excessive emotions?
