My choice for song is "Closure." The music was written by Aaron Dessner from The National and the lyrics were written by Taylor Swift. I think it's in 5/4 and it's delightful.
The main thing I do is remain in peace by beginning the day before daylight. Coffee and the sunrise are magical. This hour of quiet has been my way for years and serves me well. When I had babies, children growing and thriving, when the house emptied out, when I moved out on my own again, it is my way. It hasn’t stopped serving me to connect with the creation of Light before I start thinking. I find it a gentle way to begin the usual. What is your way of starting the day to contribute to well being?
The sunrise is something that is renewing, and to think we are gifted with it every morning we awake on this plane. With a little one, we catch the sunrise on the way to school every morning this time of year. The awe in her tiny voice when we see it is always so refreshing and further reminds me to slow down and SEE things. We have much to learn still.
She has slapped me in the face with these realizations many times in her 4 short years with us. From playing in the rain, to the pure magic that bubbles are. Baking soda volcanoes and now seeing the light in her eyes when she writes her name or draws a shape just right, is enough. It’s a shame we cant remember that joy from when we were young. Childlike wonder is such a treasure.

I love the contrast between the drums and piano. And nobody writes lyrics like Taylor.
NOBODY.

I pictured that, Skyler. Beautiful. Children get it, don’t they?

She sounds curious. That’s beautiful!
