Monday
was all about using common sense: ‘Let’s say you hear a fantastical ‘bird fact’/‘true story’. Ask, Is this plausible? What does my existing knowledge combined with my common sense tell me? Think about the source of the information. What are their biases and agenda? How far outside your circle of competence is this information? Have you checked a reliable source?
This applies double to things you want to be true.
Tuesday
I returned to one of my favourite topics: you are what you do.
When there is disconnection between what you say you believe and what you actually do, you are living in brokenness. And you’ve got a good project to do.
Wednesday
When people with power – it’s definitely about power – run through a routine of convolutions to make the unreal appear real, you have a choice. Walk away or join their mental gymnastics club.
Jill said: ‘This is a definite cut and paste for me. Love it.’ I wonder where she pasted it?
Thursday
built on Monday. I told you how to be smarter than almost everyone with virtually no effort, which, according to Denelle was ‘edgy’.
On Monday I forgot to give you last week’s answer. I was looking for a year in the 1980s. The clue was: Which red berry bear impressed the queen’s son – A, B or C? The queen son is a prince. He was, of course, impressed with raspberry bear A. Prince released Raspberry Beret in 1985. Well done, Jeff and Katie, for figuring it out.
This week I want you to give me the name of a tasty dip. The clue is:
Spooner wants you to choose deliciously curdled milk
Answers in the comments, please.
This week I remembered Hayley Williams’ solo album, so I listened to it. Then I listened to it again because it’s a bit of a masterpiece.
Happy weekend
Jeff
I fell down a hole and learned a few things. Before I fell down the hole I was sure it was cottage cheese 😂
Clabber is what I came up with.
Just letting you know I tried all day and I’m stumped! I mean sour cream is curdled milk but obvs there’s more to it. Tried the “spoonerisms” route but might be a dead end!
