I pointed out the obvious: you can’t trade your body in for a newer model. And I gave the logical follow-up encouragement: Make a habit of pointing out to yourself the goodness of your body.
Wednesday
Speaking of bodies, you have nine trillion more nonhuman cells than you have human cells. Your gut microbiome weighs more than your brain. Your gut health has a huge impact on your total health, including your mental health, so eat to have a healthy gut.
Katie replied, ‘When folks are afraid of aliens taking over and controlling our bodies, I like to say: too late!’ And Jecelyn wondered ‘if we're just the bacteria living in some massive (to us) body’.
Thursday
I asked, in light of the firehose, the tsunami, the global flood of information, what knowledge taps can you turn off so that you can focus on the information that matters to your life? I suggested that if a flow of knowledge isn’t helping you become the person you want to be, shutting it off seems like a good idea.
