I really love being a digital artist. I'm good at it. I also get a lot of flack for not being a "real" artist. It's weird to me because I spend more time, skill and creativity on my digital art than I do oil painting.

It's a lesson in lack of understanding a different medium. What do you love about the digital medium, if it's okay to ask?

Oh, it's got to be the possibilities. I am a dreamer through and through and the idea that I can literally create anything is what always starts me out. That sounds so dreamy, but let's also be real that it's the shackle of digital art for me as well. That great idea I can't *really* make work will also be the deafening roar when I try to start again. Just call me Sisyphus.

Really, the options in styles and the dimensionality are awesome. I also love how accessible it is to everyone. Between Krita and Blender so many high quality programs for all ages to create art, without the need for expensive art supplies.

Plus, if a medium decreases or even eliminates the barrier of entry, all the better. Digital-anything can make art more accessible to people who would otherwise not dabble. The point is, though, that you DO eventually have to find your message. And you’re right, time is the only way to get there.
