Good points, all. I would also say happiness comes from a good dose of contentment. Meaning, gratefulness for what one already has, coupled with a vision for a better future.

Totally agree! Contentment and vision for a better future are both hugely important parts of happiness. What I'm addressing in my posts this week is how do you move from knowing that you need contentment to actually achieving it.

You could change your environment by getting rid of the excess crap that is cluttering up your life or by massively reducing your exposure to the things that cause discontent – advertising and social media spring to mind.

You could tell yourself a stories that energise your gratitude, things like reminding yourself of specific kindnesses that people have shown you or making a point of noticing how the earth sustains you.

Heart problems will change things quickly. Physically and emotionally, life changed. I’m jamming to the song today. They dance the same as me! Thanks!

We lived in an RV for a year and then we moved to another country and moved houses every few months. We finally bought a place and have been planted here. We are having the same experience! Life is no longer just one long string of problems to solve; we have hot water and reliable internet, and we are blown away by how amazing stability feels.

It’s time to stop and smell the roses I plan to plant. It’s such a wonderful development for a time to reconnect with my kiddos. All good 👍
