Massive thanks, Teresa, for your words, art and music choices this week!
Remember: If you are down in it, you won’t always be and creation requires room to grow.
Give yourself the space to grow slowly

One.
A few years ago, after staying in a hotel, the front desk person asked my husband how his stay was. He responded with the phrase, “perfectly fine”.
It was just that, perfectly fine. We came, we slept, we left.
I grew up raised with the concept that everything I did needed to be done to the best of my ability. Oh, the anxiety this idea bred in me was profound. Over the past few years, I’ve come to understand that perfectly fine, is indeed perfectly fine. Not every dinner, homework session, human interaction and art piece needs to be perfectly beautiful.
If you strive for perfect in everything, you will find it in nothing.
The science behind this is pretty astounding. I highly recommend this podcast about controlling your dopamine for motivation, focus and satisfaction by Andrew Huberman. He’s a professor of neurobiology and ophthalmology. It gets a bit technical in some parts, but for me completely changed my outlook on how I approached any project or activity, no matter my end target.
Have a perfectly fine day!
