🚀 TREE 436: The truth of what’s possible changes constantly
Throwback Monday – TREE 30
One.
When my parents were kids, one good working-class job provided a good standard of living for a whole family.
When I was a kid, a daily dose of inspiration like TREE would have been technically, logistically and financially impossible.
A few years ago, I wouldn’t have dreamed that almost a million people would watch my daughter dressed up as He-Man lip-syncing to a cover of 4 Non Blondes’ What’s Up. But they have.
Don’t judge today’s behaviour by the standard of yesterday’s possibilities.
Two.
After months of waiting, I got access to DALL-E 2. So this week, I’m letting the world’s greatest art AI make variations of my drawings. I’m starting with the dog in knee socks from TREE 229 (Quick! Have a look). The results are glorious:
Three.
New U.S. Girls music! Meghan Remy has gloriously interpreted classic sounds of the 80s for this one. I love it.
Welcome to August. For the next three weeks, I will be continuing Throwback Mondays and we have four excellent guest authors. Jess Lea-Wilson will be handling the FIELD GUIDE slot on Fridays. Tuesdays–Thursdays will be covered by Miles Sosbe, Teresa Roberts and, starting tomorrow, Mark Pierce. Huzzah!
FFOREST will take a two-week summer holiday from 22 August to 2 September.
Grow slowly
Jeff
Glorious indeed, this DALL-E stuff. And a bit scary!
