I’m not against telling young people to try to do the best you can do, but it can create false hope when you say, “you can be anything you want to be” etc. because you can’t run faster than the speed of sound or jump out of an airplane without a parachute and survive. (OK some weird exceptions to that one lol) Some things are just impossible. My suggestion is that the advice just needs to be phrased differently. If you have any ideas, let me know.
