I get paranoid thinking about my someday funeral where I finally have a pre-recorded testimony of my true thoughts on my religion and beliefs shared with everybody attending…and they are like wow I never knew she really felt that way. Why I can’t share that real reality now, I’m not sure; only to a few people who get it. When it comes to religion, it’s tough to stray from the tribe as you mentioned even if your thoughts/beliefs are inclusive, loving, and kind.
I think it's tough to stray from many tribes *especially* if you choose to be inclusive, loving and kind. Many tribes gain and maintain their power by being exclusive (while calling it something that sounds nice).
