"When you are truly who you are, then you will play your part in saving the world." This is such a beautiful sentiment, and it reminds me of the Life Lesson from the movie Almost Famous (2000): Be yourself, always. "The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you’re uncool."

I’m repeating this because it’s such a good quote: "The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you’re uncool."

I also like this quote from Albert Camus on authenticity:

“But above all, in order to be, never try to seem.”

1. I had a look at what you do. My goodness! It absolutely matters. We are so in need of more life in the real world.

2. Capitalism and the Protestant work ethic measure our value in hours and economic output. Those systems are the water we swim in but they aren’t the only water, nor are they, in my view, the best water. It takes work not to measure your life by the dominant worldview.

Thanks so much, Jon. It’s good to have you here.

Allowing the world to be what it is is a great way of recognising the importance of embracing reality. The world, excluding the tiny portion I influence, will be itself whether I ‘let' it or not.
