This is such a beautiful sentiment, and it reminds me of the Life Lesson from the movie Almost Famous (2000): Be yourself, always. "The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you’re uncool."

I do my best work off-the-clock, when I tackle the dystopian nightmare that looms on our screens with the simple joy of living and visions of life before appliances started telling us how to live it.
1. I had a look at what you do. My goodness! It absolutely matters. We are so in need of more life in the real world.
2. Capitalism and the Protestant work ethic measure our value in hours and economic output. Those systems are the water we swim in but they aren’t the only water, nor are they, in my view, the best water. It takes work not to measure your life by the dominant worldview.
Allowing the world to be what it is is a great way of recognising the importance of embracing reality. The world, excluding the tiny portion I influence, will be itself whether I ‘let' it or not.
