One.
No matter how right you are,
no matter how perfectly you called it,
no matter how much you won by,
smug is an ugly look.
A thing to remember
when you feel like wearing some smug
is that you won’t always be right,
you won’t call it every time,
sometimes you’ll lose
and then
you’ll want to be surrounded
by compassion
not schadenfreude.

I was looking for a propeller beanie, and then I found a propeller beanie
And heaven knows I’m miserable now

Shadenfreud. New word to me but it’s a good one after looking for it’s meaning. I have heard many times that pride comes before a fall. Having ego confronted at times has kept me inventorying the way it happens to me. I recognize the ego desiring to be right. Do I want to be right or happy?
