That bastard sun will come up again tomorrow. And every day after that for the next 3.5 billion years. So you might as well get used to it.

Elon Musk is not going to whisk you away to the stars. There is no imminent end-of-the-world coming to free you from your responsibilities.

The planet is burning.
Politics feels broken.
The kids need raised.
The bills need paid.
There are words to write
and beautiful things to create.
Someone needs to make dinner.

Today is going to happen.

Tomorrow is going to happen too.
And keep happening for the rest of your life,
which is probably quite a while.

So here we are
in this morning’s sunlight.
There’s work to do.
Let’s find the joy
and do this life.
