🧪 Trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord

There’s a phrase from the bible that has stuck with me for decades:

‘… trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord’ (Eph 5:10, NET).

(If you haven’t read ‘What I talk about when I talk about God’, do that real quick first.)

I like it because it has this feel of, No one has all the answers, so have a go. Try stuff. See what works.

We live in a playground/workshop/studio of a world where the important thing is ‘trying to learn’. Throw yourself into life with the curiosity and unfazed experimentation of a little child. Guide yourself with what you’ve learned so far. Fail cheerfully. Every moment you spend trying to learn is a success.
