On Monday
We were challenged to make a game out of seemingly ordinary or unpleasant parts of our lives to make things a bit more interesting. Because we can deal with unpleasantness by flipping our responses.
Tuesday
Sometimes rules are there to make us more productive. Even the rules we make for ourselves. My 15 minutes in the quiet before starting the day, and Jeff’s no phone in the bathroom rules serve to keep us present. Sometimes these things are just meant to be.
Wednesday
Maybe Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty isn’t that bad after all. Isn’t that what the movie Maleficent was created to show us? What if we turned that scenario on ourselves? What if we were…motivated instead of procrastinating, centered instead of overwhelmed, relaxed instead of stressed…etc. What if…? The possibilities are endless.
And yesterday
Culture can only change when brave people behave differently than the majority. Someone has to show a better way. Someone has to start moving from hatred to love. These brave people are the ones who get things done.
Fortunately for us wannabe brave people, the starting place is achievable: don’t gloat. You don’t have to do a big thing. Just don’t do this small thing.
Sevendust is a band that ages like fine wine. They are as good now as they were in the 90’s. Not to mention, their lead singer’s voice is so incredibly soothing to me.
