It’s 10:40 PM on Thursday night. I’ve just come from a drink with my British Sign Language class after our last BSL Level 1 exam. This week’s FIELD GUIDE didn’t come together like we hoped it would. These things happen. So here’s the short version of a thing that happened this week.
We adopted a new cat. His name is Stanley. He looks angry, but that’s just his face.
On his first night as a member of the Gill family he escaped a closed bedroom, fought with one of our others cats, unlatched a toilet door and exited the house through a window we never thought to lock. The noise woke us up. While searching our garden at 3 AM we were thinking we would have to tell Stanley’s former owner owe had lost Stanley eight hours into his new life.
Fortunately, Stanley was just over a low wall in the neighbour’s garden. He was very scared and resisted us mightily as we caught him and returned him to the house. Also the wall fell down and crushed the cat carrier.
This is how I looked after I cleaned a lot of the blood off my face
As soon as the minor injuries unit opened in the morning, we went to get antibiotics. They dressed the bite wounds on Christine’s arm too. She was more injured than me.
Here’s Stanley now. He seems to have forgiven us.
Classic.
Now that I’ve finished BSL for the year, I’m super focussed on getting my book ready for you
Happy weekend
Jeff
Hehehe, brilliant... Love the post-trail-of-destruction look of blissful contentedness 😂
I loved seeing Christine’s beautiful face again 😍
