I have a little request at the end of today’s post.

My first car was a honey gold 1965 Ford Mustang fastback. I had it from about age 17 to 19 (1991-1993). It was the coolest and fastest car in my circle of friends. It had a 302 cubic inch engine (sadly, not the original 289), three speed manual transmission (who needs gears when you have power?), and an original but non-working AM radio (which was fine because the car had dual exhausts with no mufflers). My dad and I restored it together. His side gig then was fixing up and selling 60s muscle cars, mostly Mustangs.
My advice for you today:
Let other people work with your ideas.
The cover of my book is below. It’s amazing. The reason why it’s amazing is that I commissioned Phoebe Weston to create the cover art. She’s a FFOREST friend. If you have been subscribed for a year or more, you will be familiar with her work. Phoebe took the characters and setting of Burrito Van on Selsley Common to places I couldn’t. I love the cover so much!
When you buy (or receive if you are an annual FFOREST subscriber) the book next month, you’ll do the same thing. As you read, your imagination will take my stories places they couldn’t go if they stayed with me. I can’t wait to share them with you.
Nothing to do with today’s post. It’s just a great song.
I need a proofreader for my book. If you have proofreading experience and time and would like a free annual subscription to FFOREST as a thank you, please reply to this email and let me know.
Grow slowly
Jeff
