Yesterday, I wrote that too much of the time life is interpreted through the lens of leadership.
I love an example: When social media started, it was seen as a way to connect with people so you could share bits of your lives with each other. What is one of the main ways social media is seen now (besides as a cesspit of outrage)? As platforms for gaining followers and becoming an influencer. The friendship lens has been traded for the leadership lens.
Once you start paying attention to the leadership lens, youβll see it used over the place. When you are aware of it, you can change it, when itβs not helpful.
Here are some other lenses you can use:
the interconnectedness of life
the process of evolution
the act of creation
water/flow
seasons
farming
craft
exercise
movement
friendship
love
being in love
parenting
story
music trees (of course)
I expect youβll see some things differently.
No oneβs heard of Emmeline yet. Weβre getting on this train early.

We're working on looking at things through the lens of pronoia. Pronoia is the opposite of paranoia and it is the belief that the world is conspiring in your favor. It's pretty cool how much you start to frame things with gratitude and contentedness when you look at things this way.
I really appreciate this. Yes to not measuring everything in the leadership or consumerism realms.
