One.
Reality is rude.
It is not bound to follow story you were given about the way the world is. It is not swayed by your brilliant hypothesis. It has no regard for your opinion about the way things should be.
Reality is.
It will continue to be
no matter how inconvenient
its being happens to be.
I have been rudely awakened by reality before โ more than once. I donโt enjoy it. As a result, I have committed to aligning my beliefs to reality instead of trying to align reality to my beliefs. Itโs impossible to do this perfectly. My senses are fallible. My knowledge is limited. My brain has biases. I can improve though. The closer my beliefs are to reality, the less rude reality will be to me, and I will be better placed to take advantage of the opportunities all around me.
Two.
Ken believes in creating his own reality.

Urgent alert: Akintoye released a new song
Welcome to reality week. The last time I spent a week talking about reality was during the TREEโs transition from Mailchimp to Substack. Here are the posts in case youโre interested: 101, 102, 103, 104, 105.
Grow slowly

Reality is rude sometimes. When it is, I choose to roll with it until it passes. Itโs going to squash me first, perhaps, but it WILL pass. This, too, shall pass. Experience has shown me that rain falls on the just and unjust, the same. Thatโs an equalizer. Weโre all having a human experience together. You know what happens so donโt resist what persists. Go for the gusto!
