The fastest way to make great art is to make a lot of terrible art.
You already have the desire to improve, to get better at your art. To make it happen, you combine your desire to improve with the stubbornness to keep making even when your skills don’t match your vision.
I think stubbornness comes from
seeing failure at a stepping stone to success,
determination to achieve the vision in your imagination,
and, most of all,
the joy of being able to create.
Make lots of art.
Love that you are able to create.
Don’t worry if it’s terrible.
Notice your progress.

This past Friday, my husband and I (and Brie) had to say goodbye to our family dog. She was 16 years old and the best, most goodest girl. It has been a weekend of ups and downs and grieving for all of us. I am thankful to be here in a new week with all of you. I am also thankful to have something constant to keep my mind busy when the quiet times are hard.

Thank you my sweet friends. Every day is a little better than the last 🩷
There’s just never enough time with the furballs that wiggle away into our hearts. But they always remain right there and memories eventually go from tearful to joyful a little bit at a time. I’m so sorry for the heaviness you’re all bearing right now 😢
