Why would I give you examples of Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa when I know full well that the likelihood of anyone in this little FFOREST is unlikely to have that style of success?
Clarity.
Extreme examples make it easy to see the point.
The danger is that the extreme example is seen as the ideal to aim for instead of merely a clearer distillation of the message.
With that in mind, here’s a question to follow yesterday’s post:
I could put a few things here about redefining success:
be realistic,
be humble,
be content.
How about this:
be open.
When you faithfully do your creative work, you have no idea what opportunities will show up and what your style of success will be. If your definition of success is narrow and rigid, you might not notice a success opportunity that looks different from what you expected.
Don’t be the person who waves off five £20 notes because because you’re waiting for two 50s.
