In materialist manifesting, the assumption is not that the thing is magicking towards you, it is that you are moving towards the thing. Where you are now tells you a lot about the journey you’ll be taking.
When I was 12 or 13 I wanted to be the first kid to go to space (because I’ve always been super unique like that). Manifesting wasn’t a thing I knew about back then, so I wrote a letter on paper, sent it to Nasa and told them I wanted to go to space. I took the first step on my journey.
Let’s say you also want to manifest some space travel. If you’re a megacorp CEO, your voyage to manifestation will be picking up the phone and calling Musk, Bezos or Branson. If you’re a cleaner in Tuvalu, your journey will be significantly more difficult. If you are 95 years old, talk to your relatives about those services that launch ashes in rockets.
Give yourself a clear picture of where you are. Think through the knowledge, resources and connections you have.
I got my clear picture from Nasa when they wrote back with the sad news that they weren’t handing out space flights to kids but if I wanted to become an adult astronaut, what I needed to do was lots of specific difficult work over many years. They included a long and technical booklet about how the Space Shuttle worked.
Once you know where you are, compare it to where you need to be to get what you want. Are you up for the trek? If it’s a yes, you’re ready for tomorrow’s instalment. If it’s a no, keep working on figuring out what you actually want.
When Nasa told me what it took to become an astronaut, I realised space flight for me was a daydream, not manifestation material.
I woke up this morning with Rizzle Kicks in my head, not any particular song, just an image of Jordan Stephens in my head. Then I looked at my Spotify Release Radar playlist. It turns out they’re still around and have just released a new song with the excellent Rachel Chinouriri. And if that isn’t proof the universe is looking out for me… yeah, it’s totally not proof.
