One.
Start with the tools you have. Find the right tools as you go.
I started running in 2011 (I think). I wore a T-shirt, cut-off track suit bottoms and Β£10 trainers from ASDA. The trainers lasted long enough for me to be convinced I liked running. The cut-off shorts lasted a few years. But I only bought actual running shorts for the first time in autumn 2020. Running is definitely better in high-tech fabric. But how sad would it be if I believed I needed high-tech fabric to go for a run?
Whatever new thing you want to start. Just start. Use what you have, what you can borrow, what you can buy super cheap. Start right now. Today, while your motivation is high.
