🧚♀️ TREE 355: The boring ol’ materialist’s guide to manifesting 2
How to get the pony you want and fulfil your dreams, even if you scoffed at The Secret.
One.
Yesterday, I sent an introduction and step one: figure out what you want. Once you know that, the question is:
2/10 Where are you?
When I was 12 or 13 I wanted to be the first kid to go to space (because I’ve always been super unique like that). I wrote to Nasa and told them. They wrote back with the sad news that they weren’t handing out space flights to kids but if I wanted to become an adult astronaut, what I needed to do was lots of specific difficult work over many years. Bonus: they included a long and technical black and white booklet about how the Space Shuttle worked.
In materialist manifesting, the assumption is not that the thing is magicking towards you, it is that you are moving towards the thing.
Where you are now tells you a lot about the journey you’ll be taking.
Let’s say you also want to manifest some space travel. If you’re a megacorp CEO, your voyage to manifestation will be picking up the phone and calling Musk, Bezos or Branson. If you’re a cleaner in Zimbabwe, your journey will be significantly different. If you are 95 years old, talk to your relatives about those services that launch ashes in rockets.
Give yourself a clear picture of where you are. Think through the knowledge, resources and connections you have.
Once you know where you are, compare it to where you need to be to get what you want. Are you up for the trek? If it’s a yes, you’re ready for tomorrow’s instalment. If it’s a no, head back to part one and figure out what you actually want.
When Nasa told me what it took to become an astronaut, I realised space flight for me was a daydream, not manifestation material.

I love this.
Grow slowly

Enjoying this thread/subject very much (tho I'm wary of The Secret people -- I believe all of this that you have shared). Bees are fabulous. Heavy agree. And gah that song, instant heart on Spotify.
The story of you writing NASA tripped a memory. I was around 10 and saw the movie “Polyana” and was told I looked like Hayley Mills. I wrote Walt Disney saying I would like a movie role! I waited a long time for a reply but none came. However, I was the star in school plays several years. Thanks for the memory.
I want to get back to traveling. I have been rerouted twice for heater issues. Hopefully I can drive north this week. I’m planning a Route 66 trip through Arizona up to the Northern California coast to the Redlands. I have noticed that rv lifestyle is much about planning and waiting, but that’s always the way it seems. What are you planning?
