One.
A blessing: as you journey through your day, may you be as chill as Gustav Jones the butterfly.
Two.
Sometimes shit happens and there’s no tidy resolution, there’s no reason that explains everything and the only redemption available is your choice to not repeat the shit going forward.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the western world’s unhealthy and often toxic attitudes towards the human body. I’ve been reading about the way the food industry destroys our health. In TREE 239 I declared an end of hostility towards myself. That includes my body. My current running listening is The Body Keeps the Score. And I’m working on sorting out an annoying back problem. Weaving through all of this in my mind is Grimes’ lament, ‘We don’t love our bodies anymore’. Only I just looked up the lyrics; she says, ‘Unrest is in our souls / We don’t move our bodies anymore’. Ah well. It kind of fits, and it has Chinese rap.
Making sure something destructive stops with you is very honourable (and difficult) work indeed.
