Humans have this tendency to think we are something other than a natural part of life on Earth. If weโre feeling pessimistic, we call ourselves a disease. If weโre feeling good, we act like weโre gods. The fact is, we are mammals. We have this incredible thing called consciousness that allows us to observe and think about ourselves and the world around us. But when our conclusions put us outside nature we lose connection with the things that sustain us and keep us sane.
Pay attention to seasons and light. Let your skin touch the natural world. Remember that you are not a visiting alien. You are part of this planet.
