One.
Jason Maxforth is getting to the top anyway he can.
Two.
Humans have devoted a lot of time and energy to the question of whether people are, at their core, good or evil. Weβve come up with a lot of answers at either end and across the middle of that spectrum.
But itβs the wrong question. Itβs like asking if a rainbow is red or blue. A rainbow is a rainbowΒ becauseΒ it is red and blue and a bunch of other colours too.
Humans are human in part because we have the ability to think about our behaviour in terms of morality. We are conscious of doing good and evil. We also know that good is better because we try to convince ourselves and others that our evil deeds actually are good.
But humans are not fundamentally good.
We are not fundamentally evil.
We are fundamentally human.
Two implications:
Interrogate your questions. Are you asking the thing that will give you a useful answer?
Donβt be overly surprised when humans behave like humans in all their good and evil and self-justifying splendour. It will save you a lot of stress and wasted energy.
Three.
A rock cover of Lana Del Reyβs Chemtrails Over the Country Club by The Jezabelsβ Hayley Mary? Yes, please!
Thanks for reading. Thanks for sharing. Look out for the humans. They are humaning all over the place out there.
Grow slowly
