One.
Two.
Do you have as many live prawns in your trousers as Warren Buffet does?
Is that question any more ridiculous than all the other comparing ourselves to other people that we humans do?
What is the point
of comparing yourself
to Warren Buffet
or Jimmy Buffet
or a wedding buffet?
Will it make you happier, kinder, or more effective?
It will not.
Will you learn anything of value from it?
You will not.
You are you, a unique gift to this planet. And as far as I can tell, you only get one go. So it seems to me that the best thing to do is set aside the comparing and get busy living. You have better things to do than worrying about how your trouser prawn situation stacks up to Warren’s.
Letting go of comparison is not a once for all action. Some days you have to do it hourly. Here’s a helpful mantra: This comparison is as useful as a trouser prawn.
Three.
Today let’s enjoy John Deacon’s very excellent bassline.
After yesterday’s email encouraging people to unsubscribe from newsletters they aren’t excited about, I was relieved to see I still have the same number of subscribers today. Thanks for being excited about TREE!

My friend says, "comparison is violence." Meaning against yourself. It stopped me in my tracks the first time I heard her say it. And now I say it, too. <3
