One.
Two.
My youngest daughter has a kitchen in the garden. Well, she calls it a kitchen. It’s a bunch of old containers that she fills with dirt and water and bits of plant. So our house looks pretty ghetto. I (mostly) don’t care because I love her creativity.
Why does she do it though?
Absolutely no reason other than she likes to.
Only adults are stupid enough to need a ‘proper’ reason for making things. Only adults will look at something gloriously daftly creative and say, Someone has too much time on their hands. To those adults I say, Get in the sea, hoping that the cold salty water will shock their repressed creativity into action.
The fact that you are human is the reason to make things.
Draw. Bake. Do maths. Whatever. Make stuff because you like to. It’s reason enough.
Three.
When it comes to making things, I want to be one of the people on the metaphorical dance floor, not one of the people holding up the wall.
Welcome to a new week of wonders and a slightly new look for TREE – one image, one idea, one song. Because I like to play around with things.
Grow slowly
