I can form an opinion
instantly.
Like boiling water and
a Bombay Bad Boy –
burning hot,
super spicy,
lacking nutrition,
a rich source of belching regret.

Lately I’ve been trying,
with occasional success,
to have fewer opinions,
to stop locking in ideas
while in a state of ignorance,
to learn first and talk later –
much much later,
to replace hot takes
with burning
curiosity.

The world is not facing an opinion shortage. But there is always a need for more curiosity. Curiosity can grow into knowledge, creation and wisdom – things that endure.

Grow slowly
